ACIM Lesson 108
To give and receive are one in truth.
t’s easy to think of giving and receiving as separate.
I give something… and later, maybe, something comes back.
But today’s lesson gently dissolves that timeline.
It says they are the same act.
This morning, I tried it in the simplest way.
Instead of fixing anything, I offered quiet peace—to one person, in my mind.
Nothing dramatic happened.
But something shifted.
The tension in my body softened.
My breath slowed.
The moment felt… kinder.
I realized I wasn’t waiting to receive peace.
I was feeling it as I gave it.
The Course says ideas don’t leave their source.
So what I extend is what I live inside.
Not later. Not eventually.
Now.
Maybe this is the practice:
Not trying to get what we need—
but giving what we long for.
And noticing…
it’s already here.
A Listening Practice
If it feels natural, you might let this idea continue beyond the words.
Two musical reflections accompany this lesson—
each offering a different way of entering the same truth.
A grounded chant, steady and spacious,
like a quiet return within.
A devotional song,
carrying the feeling of being held in what has never changed.
You might listen to one… or both…
not to understand,
but to let the truth be felt.
There is nothing to achieve here.
Only a willingness to rest…
and allow the remembrance to deepen.

May this be a gentle remembering.
