There are days when the world seems to pull us in every direction. We become caught in its troubles, its demands, and its promises of happiness. Without realizing it, we begin looking outside ourselves for the peace that has never left us.

Today's lesson invites us to return to what A Course in Miracles calls our “certain sanctuary.”

This sanctuary is not a place we must travel to, nor something we must earn. It is the presence of God's love, always available beneath the noise of our thoughts and the fears we have come to believe.

Through forgiveness, we begin to release the judgments, expectations, and artificial values that have obscured our awareness of this love. We discover that we need not struggle to find our way home. God is already beside us.

And something beautiful happens when we remember this.

The love we feel for our Father naturally extends to His Son. We begin to recognize that the peace we seek for ourselves belongs equally to every brother and sister.

Today, may we rest in that certain sanctuary and carry its love into every encounter.
