ACIM Lesson 130

It is impossible to see two worlds.

There is a line in today’s lesson from A Course in Miracles that feels both unsettling and liberating:

“It is impossible to see two worlds.”

The Course is asking us to notice that perception is not neutral. What we expect to find, we often find. If I want to see someone’s guilt, evidence will appear everywhere. My mind, emotions, memories, and interpretations begin organizing around separation. Fear becomes the lens.

But if I pause long enough to look for innocence instead, another world begins to emerge.

Not because the external world instantly changes, but because the interpreter changes.

The Course calls this heaven and hell. One world is built from fear. The other is revealed through love. And perception is consistent with the teacher we choose.

This is not always easy, especially when we feel hurt, threatened, or afraid. Yet the lesson gently reminds us that we are never completely trapped inside the ego’s interpretation.

Another way of seeing remains available.

And perhaps that is the real invitation today:
to stop asking which world is true,
and begin noticing which world we are choosing to see.

A Listening Practice

If it feels natural, you might let this idea continue beyond the words.

Two musical reflections accompany this lesson—
each offering a different way of entering the same truth.

A grounded chant, steady and spacious,
like a quiet return within.

A devotional song,
carrying the feeling of being held in what has never changed.

You might listen to one… or both…
not to understand,
but to let the truth be felt.

There is nothing to achieve here.
Only a willingness to rest…
and allow the remembrance to deepen.

May this be a gentle remembering.
