ACIM Lesson 143
Review of Lessons 125 and 126
There are moments when the world feels unbearably loud.
News cycles, opinions, fears, and endless stimulation pull the mind outward until we forget there is another place within us that remains untouched.
This lesson invites me back there.
“In quiet I receive God’s Word today” is not an escape from the world, but a return to the deeper awareness beneath it. In the stillness, I remember that fear is not my foundation. Love is.
And from that quiet remembering, another truth begins to emerge:
“All that I give is given to myself.”
Every kindness extended, every moment of patience, every act of compassion strengthens the very qualities I long to experience. What I offer to another never leaves me. It becomes part of the atmosphere of my own mind.
Perhaps this lesson is gently retraining us to live from a different center —
one rooted not in fear and separation,
but in quiet, generosity, and shared belonging.
A Listening Practice
You might return to the songs that accompany these lessons—
not to understand them,
but to remember…
to let the truth be felt again.
