Review of Lessons 149 and 150
Lesson 150 Reflection
The Course teaches that healing begins with a change of mind. Not a change in circumstances, not a change in other people, and not even a change in the body first—but a change in the way we see.
When we say, “I will accept Atonement for myself,” we are acknowledging that our usual way of perceiving may not be trustworthy. We have been trained to see ourselves as separate, vulnerable, and incomplete. We identify with the body, believe what fear tells us, and often mistake appearances for reality. The Atonement is the gentle correction of that mistake. It is the willingness to remember that our true identity remains exactly as God created it.
This does not mean we ignore the challenges of daily life. It means we stop asking the world to provide the peace that can only be found within. We begin to recognize that beneath every conflict, every grievance, every fear, there is a call to remember who we really are.
“Only salvation can be said to cure” because only awakening from fear addresses the cause of suffering. The forms of our problems may differ, but the underlying belief in separation is always the same. Healing comes as we release that belief and return to the awareness of love.
Today invites us to trust a different guide. Instead of listening to the voice of fear, we can listen for the quiet Voice within that remembers our innocence, our wholeness, and our union with God. In that remembrance, true healing begins.
A Listening Practice
You might return to the songs that accompany these lessons—

but to remember…
to let the truth be felt again.
