ACIM Lesson 152

The power of decision is my own.

Lesson 152 invites us to reclaim a power we often believe has been taken from us: the power to choose how we see ourselves. The Course teaches that while circumstances may seem to shape our experience, the deepest decision is always which voice we listen to—the voice of fear or the Voice for love.

The ego tells us we are limited by our past, our mistakes, our wounds, and the opinions of others. It builds an identity based on guilt, lack, and separation. Yet beneath every self-concept we have made is a changeless truth: we remain exactly as God created us.

True humility is not thinking less of ourselves. It is accepting that God's judgment of us is more accurate than our own. We do not need to become worthy of love. We need only recognize that we have never been anything else.

Today we are asked to lay aside the stories we tell about ourselves and remember what is eternally true. The power of decision is our own. We can choose again. We can choose peace instead of judgment, truth instead of illusion, and love instead of fear.

A Listening Practice

If it feels natural, you might let this idea continue beyond the words.

Two musical reflections accompany this lesson—
each offering a different way of entering the same truth.

A grounded chant, steady and spacious,
like a quiet return within.

A devotional song,
carrying the feeling of being held in what has never changed.

You might listen to one… or both…
not to understand,
but to let the truth be felt.

There is nothing to achieve here.
Only a willingness to rest…
and allow the remembrance to deepen.
