ACIM Lesson 222
God is with me. I live and move in Him.
There is something almost startling in the simplicity of today's lesson.
I don't have to find my way to God. I don't have to become more spiritual, understand more, or somehow cross the distance between where I am and where God is.
There is no distance.
God is the life within me, the air I breathe, the water that renews me. God is not somewhere I am trying to reach. God is the home in which I already live.
Maybe that is what I am being asked to remember today: I was never homeless. I only forgot where I was.
So today I can stop seeking for a little while.
God is with me.
I live and move in Him.
A Listening Practice
Before entering the silence, you may wish to listen to today’s Prayer Song.
Rather than trying to understand the lesson, simply let the words and music carry the prayer for a while. Listen as though you are joining the prayer yourself—speaking when the words are yours, receiving when they are spoken to you, and allowing the spaces between them to remain open.
There is nothing you need to accomplish here.
When the music ends, let it end.
Remain in the quiet. Rest with the lesson. Listen.
