To be as God created me does not require that I improve myself or become more spiritual. It asks only that I stop believing the identities I have made—the masks, defenses, and judgments that hide what remains eternally true. Beneath everything I have tried to become, the light God created in me is still shining.

True humility is not the denial of that light. It is accepting that it did not come from me and does not belong to me alone. When I allow Christ to be my eyes, I begin to recognize the same innocence in others. Their masks may look different from mine, but the truth beneath them is the same.

Today I do not need to manufacture holiness or prove my worth. I can lay down the posturing and allow what God created to be revealed. I am not becoming His beloved creation. I am remembering that I have never been anything else.
