ACIM Lesson 295
The Holy Spirit looks through me today.
How often do we look upon the world and believe that what we see is all there is? We see differences, suffering, conflict, and separation. We make judgments, form opinions, and sometimes forget that we are looking through the lens of our own fears.
Today's lesson offers another way of seeing.
When we invite the Holy Spirit to look through us, we are not asked to deny the suffering of the world or turn away from those who are hurting. We are invited to see more deeply, beyond appearances, to the love that remains present even when it is difficult to recognize.
Fear appears in countless forms, but love is one.
Every encounter becomes an opportunity to practice this new vision. The person who challenges us, the stranger who is suffering, the brother whose choices we cannot understand—all become invitations to release our judgments and remember our shared innocence.
We do not have to manufacture this love. We need only become willing to let it guide our perception.
Today, may we offer our eyes to the Holy Spirit and discover that beneath all our differences, the same light shines in everyone.
And in recognizing that light in another, may we remember it in ourselves.
A Listening Practice
Before entering the silence, you may wish to listen to today’s Prayer Song.
Let the words and music be with you for a while. There is nothing to understand and nothing you need to accomplish.
When the music ends, allow the quiet to remain.
Rest with the lesson.
Listen.
