ACIM Lesson 70

My salvation comes from me.

Today’s lesson turns the mind inward in a surprising way.

We spend so much of life searching outside ourselves for peace — in other people, in circumstances, in outcomes we hope will finally make everything feel right.

Yet the Workbook gently reminds us that the source of salvation has never been outside us.

The light we seek is already within the mind.

But the lesson also offers a tender reassurance for those moments when the clouds feel thick and the way forward is hard to see.

“If it helps,” the voice of Jesus says,
“think of me holding your hand and leading you… and I assure you this will be no idle fantasy.”

The light is within us, but we are not asked to reach it alone.

An elder brother who has already walked through the clouds offers companionship on the way.

My salvation comes from me

and love walks beside me as I remember.

A Listening Practice

If it feels natural, you might let this idea continue beyond the words.

Two musical reflections accompany this lesson—
each offering a different way of entering the same truth.

A grounded chant, steady and spacious,
like a quiet return within.

A devotional song,
carrying the feeling of being held in what has never changed.

You might listen to one… or both…
not to understand,
but to let the truth be felt.

There is nothing to achieve here.
Only a willingness to rest…
and allow the remembrance to deepen.
