ACIM Lesson 117
Review of Lessons 103 and 104
This lesson brings me back to something both simple and easily forgotten: happiness and love are not separate.
“God being Love is also happiness” reminds me that joy does not come from what I arrange in the world, but from what I allow within myself. When I withhold love—through judgment, fear, or distance—I feel the loss as a quiet absence of peace.
“I seek but what belongs to me in truth” gently corrects the search itself. I am not looking for love out there, in the right person or moment. I am remembering that love is already my inheritance.
Together, these ideas shift everything.
If love is what I am, then happiness is not something I earn—it is something I uncover.
Today becomes a soft practice:
to notice where I close,
to choose again,
and to let love extend—simply, quietly, without condition.
And in that, something returns.
A Listening Practice
You might return to the songs that accompany these lessons—
not to understand them,
but to remember…
to let the truth be felt again.
