ACIM Lesson 163

There is no death. The Son of God is free.

This lesson asks me to look beyond what appears so obvious.

The world tells us that death is inevitable. The Course says something very different. It teaches that what we truly are was never born and therefore cannot die.

As I sat with today's lesson, I found myself thinking less about physical death and more about all the small ways I forget life. Fear. Anxiety. Judgment. Doubt. Every moment I lose touch with love feels like a kind of death.

Yet the lesson insists these states are not the truth of me.

Love is life.

And what is not love is only a temporary shadow passing across the light.

The body changes. Circumstances change. Relationships change. One day this body will be laid aside like a set of clothes no longer needed.

But the Life that God created remains untouched.

Today I am invited to remember that life is not something I possess. It is what I am.

There is no death.

The Son of God is free.

A Listening Practice

If it feels natural, you might let this idea continue beyond the words.

Two musical reflections accompany this lesson—
each offering a different way of entering the same truth.

A grounded chant, steady and spacious,
like a quiet return within.

A devotional song,
carrying the feeling of being held in what has never changed.

You might listen to one… or both…
not to understand,
but to let the truth be felt.

There is nothing to achieve here.
Only a willingness to rest…
and allow the remembrance to deepen.
