ACIM Lesson 231
Father, I will but to remember You.
There are so many things I think I am looking for—peace, healing, certainty, belonging, purpose. I give my longing many names and search for its answer in many places. Yet today's lesson says that beneath every search is one desire: to remember God.
And to remember God is to remember myself.
Salvation is not something added to me. It is the quiet undoing of everything that has hidden what has always been true. As the old thoughts are no longer supported, they fall away, and what remains is not emptiness but Love. I do not have to become who I was created to be. I need only remember.
Father, I will but to remember You.
A Listening Practice
Before entering the silence, you may wish to listen to today’s Prayer Song.
Let the words and music be with you for a while. There is nothing to understand and nothing you need to accomplish.
When the music ends, allow the quiet to remain.
Rest with the lesson.
Listen.
