This lesson can initially sound as though my human self controls every event that enters my life. But the ruler of the universe is not the small self that tries to command circumstances. It is my true Self, whose will is joined with the Will of God.

Today, that power feels very simple: I can choose again.

When the small self declares that I am limited or powerless, I do not have to argue with it, shame it, or force it to become something else. I can meet it with compassion. I can listen to what is here and ask, “What would be the most loving response now?”

Human limitations may be real within my present experience. They do not take away my freedom to choose which voice will guide me. Sometimes choosing again means resting. Sometimes it means taking one gentle step, asking for help, or becoming quiet enough to hear beneath the fear.

True rulership is not domination. It is the freedom to choose Love’s response to whatever is here. Within every limitation, my holy Self remains unchanged—and when I choose gentleness rather than force, I meet God there.
