ACIM Lesson 273
The stillness of the peace of God is mine.
Peace does not wait for the world to become peaceful.
We often imagine that we will finally rest when something changes—when the problem is resolved, the uncertainty passes, or life becomes quieter. Today’s lesson asks us to discover a peace that does not depend upon any of that.
The stillness of the peace of God is mine.
It is already here.
We will not remain aware of it every moment. Something will disturb us. Our minds will wander into fear, judgment, planning, or worry. And when they do, we have not failed. We simply return.
Beneath all the movement of our lives is something that does not move. Beneath the noise is a quiet that has never been disturbed.
Today we are invited to rest there.
Not to create peace.
Not to achieve peace.
Not even to understand peace.
Only to become still enough to remember what has already been given.
The stillness of the peace of God is mine.
A Listening Practice
Today, there is no song.
Only an invitation to sit for a few moments in stillness.
