ACIM Lesson 274

Today belongs to love. Let me not fear.

Today belongs to Love.

There is something gentle in that declaration. I do not have to spend the day wrestling with fear or trying to make it disappear. I can simply give the day to something larger.

I can begin again with Love.

Before judgment settles in, before an old story takes hold, before I decide what another person means or what the day will bring, I can remember: this day belongs to Love.

And perhaps that changes how I see.

The brother I might have judged becomes my brother again. The person I had reduced to a story becomes someone whose innocence I am willing to see. The distance between us softens.

This is how Love enters the ordinary moments of a day—not as an idea I understand, but as a way of seeing and meeting what is before me.

Fear may still knock at the door. But I do not have to give it the day.

I can return, again and again, to this simple prayer:

Today belongs to Love.

Let me see with Love.
Let me meet my brother with Love.
Let me remember that Love is here.

And let me not fear.

A Listening Practice

Before entering the silence, you may wish to listen to today’s Prayer Song.

Let the words and music be with you for a while. There is nothing to understand and nothing you need to accomplish.

When the music ends, allow the quiet to remain.

Rest with the lesson.

Listen.
