ACIM Lesson 300

Only an instant does this world endure.

How easily a passing moment can become the whole of our world. A disappointment, a fearful thought, an old grievance—and suddenly we find ourselves living inside a story that seems to have no ending.

Yet this lesson reminds us that what we see through fear is not eternal. Like clouds moving across an open sky, our perceptions change, our emotions rise and fall, and the dramas we once believed would last forever eventually pass.

The sky itself remains undisturbed.

Perhaps our spiritual practice is not about learning to live without clouds. It is about remembering that we are not the clouds. We can experience sadness, uncertainty, or anger without making them our home.

And when we forget, we can choose again.

Every moment offers another opportunity to release what we have been holding and remember the Love that has never left us. Forgiveness becomes the gentle opening through which we return to peace.

Only an instant does this world endure. But what God has created remains forever.

Today, may I allow what is passing to pass, and rest in what cannot change.

A Listening Practice

Before entering the silence, you may wish to listen to today’s Prayer Song.

Let the words and music be with you for a while. There is nothing to understand and nothing you need to accomplish.

When the music ends, allow the quiet to remain.

Rest with the lesson.

Listen.
