ACIM Lesson 306
The gift of Christ is all I seek today.
There is a beautiful invitation in today's lesson: to see a world so like to Heaven that an ancient memory returns.
Perhaps nothing around us needs to change for this to happen. The people we encounter, the circumstances of our lives, even the ordinary moments of the day may remain exactly as they are. What changes is the vision through which we look.
When I release my judgments, even for a moment, I make room for another way of seeing. Where I once noticed differences, I may recognize something we share. Where fear shaped my perception, mercy and loving kindness become possible.
The gift of Christ is not something I must earn or search for. It is the vision of Love already given, waiting for my willingness to receive it.
I am especially moved by the lesson's reminder that we come to God with empty hands and open hearts, remembering that we never went away.
Perhaps this is what an ancient memory feels like. Not recalling something from long ago, but recognizing what has always been true.
Today, may I look upon this familiar world with new eyes and recognize the Love that has never left.
A Listening Practice
Before entering the silence, you may wish to listen to today’s Prayer Song.
Let the words and music be with you for a while. There is nothing to understand and nothing you need to accomplish.
When the music ends, allow the quiet to remain.
Rest with the lesson.
Listen.
